Land & Fire Assessments Pty Ltd (LFA) staff have 34 years of combined experience in the ecological assessment & management industry.  

Tony Coyle (Senior Ecologist) holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and Certificate II: Natural Area Restoration. 

Tony has over fourteen years’ experience in the environmental resource management industry, during which time he has developed and maintained a range of skills and expertise.  Tony has extensive experience in ecological impact assessment, monitoring and natural area restoration.

Paola Rickard (Senior Environmental Planner) holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and Bushland Regeneration Certificate. 

Paola has had over twenty years of experience in the environmental resource management and assessment industry and has thorough and extensive knowledge of ecological surveys, ecological impact assessments and revegetation works monitoring and reporting.

LFA staff have undertaken numerous threatened species impact assessments pertinent to NSW (s.5AA of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, also known as Assessment of Significance) and/or Commonwealth legislation (Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 or EPBC Act).
LFA staff have many years of experience preparing ecological restoration management plans, and can also develop landscape plans that blend ecological restoration principles with landscape planting design.

Industry Membership and Networks

LFA staff hold relevant NSW & QLD licences to undertake Flora and Fauna surveys and are members of the Ecological Consultants Association of NSW (ECA), Australasian Network for Ecology and Transportation (ANET), Australian Association of Bush Regenerators (AABR), Birdlife Australia (including various subgroups) and WIRES
